LOTUS OF THE HEART
All is Welcome Here
Living in Love beyond Beliefs

There is Something moving among us, even moving us, all the time, and the most surprising fact of all possibly is how unaware most persons are to this most baffling and beautiful Mystery. But this Mystery is not an idea or conveyed by any idea. The Mystery is It's own divulgence of Itself. I can find nothing better to call It than simply Presence - not a presence, Presence. Yet, this is only one of potentially infinite ways to speak of this Grace.

She asked me, as a Chaplain for the team, to please pray for her friend. She had gone into our little chapel and written a note of heartfelt request, placing it on the altar before the stained glass window. At the end of the day, and ready to get home and rest, I recalled her request, thankfully. I stopped by the small interfaith chapel, exhausted. I stood before the altar and read the kind, loving note of request. I did not know the friend personally, and bowed my head and rested quietly, as I stood fully present. Prayer silently arose, Prayer happened. No words needed. Silence, but more than absence of sound. A living Silence hovered, like Breath breathing all around. I, in the most true sense, had not prayed, either verbally or wordlessly. Prayer had arisen. That we all are apart of, whether we know it or not, prayed from Itself and for Itself, for we are each what That is as part of That. There is no necessity to name this Grace, anymore than name what happened in the little chapel. We can let relax our need to know, and so truly know the Grace that is always present, sometimes in the forefront, mostly in the background - so it seems to us. Wonderful the moment this Grace moves through you, doing a work through you, so that the Work happens, and is not done by you. Whatever part you or I play is no more than the part the flute plays in the expression of the music. We are each designed for the Song that is and happens, from Love and in Love and for Love. The most essential part is to say our "Yes" for this Mystery to manifest apart and beyond what we could do even with our best efforts and most pure intents. And I said that I did not know the friend personally. I did not, but I knew and know her, just not personally, for I know her with all in that Mystery in Whom we live together as one in One. For to know through the One as one, which we know in the grace of contemplation, is in the One to know in the same Mystery that One is. Only in this way, Mystery to Mystery, can we know anyone truly beyond personally and impersonally.
